Squatters Right was written for submission for Writer's Digest Contest #27 - The contest paramaters were, write a short story 750 words or fewer based on the following writer's prompt:

PROMPT:  Start your story with: "I never would have purchased this house if I'd known that ..."  End it with: "That's why tomorrow I'm setting it on fire."
